#monthofmovement

Winters are pretty brutal in New England. It's really easy to get out of the exercising routine and to find yourself marathoning Grey's Anatomy and eating candy (not that I do that or anything..). Last year I found myself in a pretty big funk and decided that instead of (in addition to?) complaining, that I'd actually try to do something about it. I decided that February would be my "month of movement".  The idea was pretty simple: engage in some form of activity every day of the month of february. In addition to that, I challenged myself to try one new activity per week. Easy enough, right?

You can read all about the inaugural "month of movement" by going here. It was so much fun that I decided to do it all over again, this time in January. Nothing like starting off a new year with a motivational challenge, right? This time around the rules are going to be a little different. The general idea is still to do something active every day of the month, but I am going to use only existing memberships (gym, groupon vouchers, etc) or activities that cost no more than 10 dollars. I have a couple of reasons for that, the first being that I have SO many vouchers for various classes that I really need to use and the second is that I am (trying and failing) to save money for my February trip to Mexico. There are so many free, and awesome, activities around Boston that I should be able to do this with no problem.
