A few weeks ago I made an appointment expecting to get a few inches trimmed, but when I sat down in the chair I found myself saying "eh, let's go to just above the shoulders". Melinda (stylist) was like "uhhh are you sure? You've TOLD me that awful haircut story and I can't deal with you sobbing in my chair." Once I assured her that I wasn't going to have a breakdown she went to work. When she revealed the final product, I gasped! With excitement, of course, because I loved it. Ta-da!
When all was said and done, Melinda cut off just about six inches of hair. There was pretty much a full head of hair on the floor when she was done. It was hilarious, and a little bit gross.
In hindsight, it probably would have been better to wait until after Emma's wedding (in which I am a bridesmaid) since there are better formal styles for longer hair. But once I make up my mind to do something I'm all I WANT A GOLDEN GOOSE NOW! I did shoot Emma a text to see if she would care and of course, she didn't. Later she explained that she loved my luscious locks, but that in terms of her wedding, it didn't make a difference to her. What a bridezilla, amirite?
