week 6


This week sucked. Well, the first part of the week was pretty great and then I started feeling awful on Thursday. I saw in the forecast that it was supposed to snow on Saturday, so I planned to run on Friday. But then I woke up on that morning feeling congested and disgusting. So, I went back to bed instead of running (which, I think was the correct decision). It did snow on Saturday and I was in no condition to run so I made the executive decision to rest. I didn't fall asleep until 5:30 this morning because of the congestion and coughing but I did wake up feeling a little better. I'm hoping that I'll have this cold completely kicked by Tuesday (when I plan to run next).

I'm disappointed with the week, but I can't really help the fact that I got a cold. In the long run, skipping one long run isn't the end of the world - especially when I've got another five weeks until race day.
