indoor rock climbing!
I finally gave it a try two Sundays ago. Imagine my surprise (and glee!) when Lu told me that I was a natural climber (hey, they don't call me monkey for nothing). I've gone four times and I. Love. It. It actually reminds me a lot of running - it's something you can do in a group, but in the end it's just you and the wall. And I think that it's a great complement to running. Despite feeling like my arms, shoulders and back have been run over by a truck, my legs are feeling just fine.
Highland Kitchen is my neighborhood bar. It is LITERALLY two doors down from my apartment and I have no qualms about going there after a workout, or even in pajama pants. It's MY bar, and damnit, I'll wear what I like. It's an amazing bar, and they have excellent food to boot. The Dorcester is not a new drink, but it's definitely new to me. I discovered it a few weeks ago while celebrating my new job. It was a wonderful evening.. even if I don't remember how I got home.
Here's the recipe:
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/4 oz triple sec
6-8 oz pink lemonade
1 slice of cucumber
1 12-14 oz glass
Place cucumber slice in glass, fill with ice. Pour all the ingredients in. Pass (pass is not shaking. It is just pouring the contents of one glass into another. Gentler than shaking, it is meant to combine the ingredients, as opposed to combining and chilling, which is the purpose of shaking and stirring.)
Drink. Black out. (oh wait, that's just me)
Yes. I said it. I LOVE TWILIGHT (and other assorted young adult fiction series). I'm going with a rather large group to see the movie on Sunday afternoon and you BEST believe that I will be wearing my Team Jacob t-shirt. All you Edward lovers better step the hell off.
