it's a christmas miracle!

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you who commented on my freak out post. I am constantly blown away by the support that I find here and on Twitter. You're all awesome and I very much appreciate you taking the time to try to calm me down when I'm so obviously being irrational.

And now.. It's a Christmas miracle!!

I got up this morning, and even though my head was full of snot, I put on my running clothing and got ready to head out. Okay, actually, that's a lie. First I begged my mom to make me breakfast and then I sat and watched three episodes of Criminal Minds. But THEN I went out for my run.

And you know what? It felt good. Really good. Awesome, in fact. I did feel a little bit of tightness in my IT band but it wasn't painful. I was originally going to only do three miles but I felt so good that I decided to keep going and ended up doing 6 miles. I can't even begin to explain how important this run was for me, mentally more than physically. It's amazing how weeks of painful and demoralizing runs were seemingly wiped away by one good, solid run.

16 DTM and I am feeling pumped, folks. Ready to kick some Disney butt!

Splits:
Mile 1: 9:54
Mile 2: 10:09
Mile 3: 9:52
Mile 4: 9:50
Mile 5: 9:52
Mile 6: 1013
