reading rainbow

Tuesdays are normally guest blog days but the well is running a little dry on those. The best remedy for that? Email me your stories!!

I'm working from home today, as the air conditioning in my office is broken and it'll probably hit about 100 degrees in there. I don't have too much work to do so I'm rereading The Alchemist's Daughter. Those of you who know me in real life know how big of a book nerd I am, and have always been. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally stayed up all night reading and finishing an amazing book. I was actually proud when I filled my five shelf bookcase, and also sad because it meant I had no room for new books.

When I was five years old, I would write and illustrate little stories. Generally they involved two dogs, a boy and a girl, who found love and would subsequently help their owners fall in love too. Brilliant, right? I would take these stories and set up a table in my living room and sell them to my family for a quarter. I also remember that in third grade, I came up with a brilliant idea. I would write little reports on books after I'd finished them. When a book report was assigned for school, I would go through the binder and pick which I wanted to hand in.

I'm definitely a huge book nerd and totally okay with it.

So, I'm curious - what are YOUR all-time favorite books? Which can you read over and over again? Which books make you laugh, cry, or angry every time you crack open the cover?

And I just couldn't resist:
